Can't believe somebody really wants to read this

 --Waiting..., Waiting...
Do I have to start with the standard  "I was born ..." stuff? Like calvin says " I came from my room , I am a kid with bright ideas and I am going outside"  That about should be enough to describe myself.

Born to a typical middle class Indian family, I am nevertheless proud of my lineage ( both my grandfathers were landlords of princely villages ).  Maybe someday I will go back to farming, but not before I develop a distributed-RTOS that can control my tractors ( if possible even bulls ) from my laptop.

Most of my schooling was in Madras ( Chennai to be politically correct,), in a nep school called D.A.V. which was ruled over by a great dictator Ram Kalia. Without his great desire to install discipline in students, I don't think I would the man I am today(DAV-ians would understand better...).  Credit also goes to the great man for making us realise the value of the female species :)   And how can one talk about DAV without mentioning TTV(2000 problems) and PK(middle stump down , please)? If it weren't for PK,  I would have always thought school teachers weren't human beings. Maam, hats off to you.

After endless cramming, I finally made it to BITS, Pilani,(my local link) the greatest place to exist on the face of the earth.  A paradise away from this world. A world on its own.  A place where four years sped away as fast as four seconds.  A place for growing up. A place for making lasting friends. A place for learning.  THE place for the 90's man :))

Now, I am currently working at Daimler Benz Research Centre , India(dbrci).  A place where its all happening.  Where freedom is not just another word ...:)  A 9,1 organisation (--Prasanna) with all the usual perks of a software company. Also place where the atmosphere is reverberant with vedic chants as with romantic coochie-cooings ( my dahling prasanna...). A place where saints and seductresses abound. And yes we also help in the creation of aircraft landing and ship navigation systems.

Finally something as to how I perceive myself ( mostly flawed, I know). I like to think of  myself as old-fashioned in values but modern in outlook!  That's the only explanation to my nep-ness, I guess.  Introverted a bit but fun loving nevertheless. Spiritualistic at times but never boring, unless you happen to be so.  An incurable optimist , pleased with the small things in life( a cd-player, a ferrari and a house by the beach will do ), and a chronic day dreamer.
My future plans? My friends and I have identified three things, two of which one should try and find/achieve. First a soul mate ( yes we still do believe in this cliched fund),  second a  turing award or equivalent, and third , nirvana. Many of my friends have already got one of the three( isn't hard to logically deduct which one :). I am still to come close to even one.  The first and last are more or less in god's hands. So I am trying now for the second. Lets see how far I get ...
